Today I'm sharing yet more fun ideas using up all the smaller scraps of denim.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JMXWBwcANDk/VrqWf19u6NI/AAAAAAAACG8/2WnhEPjIuv8/s1600/tins%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JMXWBwcANDk/VrqWf19u6NI/AAAAAAAACG8/2WnhEPjIuv8/s640/tins%2B1.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-foQH8fSGdhQ/VrqWjZtYu-I/AAAAAAAACHA/msEzQIOKj9s/s1600/DSCF6229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-foQH8fSGdhQ/VrqWjZtYu-I/AAAAAAAACHA/msEzQIOKj9s/s640/DSCF6229.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm loving decorating these old tin cans, effectively turning them into a very useable item rather than sending them to the rubbish. These are mostly pet food tins, with the larger one being a biscuit tin.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UD3MKWa2E58/VrqYKgePC8I/AAAAAAAACHM/gSIogumZhlU/s1600/DSCF6218.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UD3MKWa2E58/VrqYKgePC8I/AAAAAAAACHM/gSIogumZhlU/s640/DSCF6218.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This bunting was originally made with a Christmas theme to help decorate my house for the festive season. The colour scheme in my living area is lemon & blue so denim is a perfect match. This bunting will now adorn the gazebo I'll use at the markets.<br />
<br />
Presently I'm busy cutting lots of shapes using the larger dies, these die cuts will be used to decorate future tins.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05616087576306786030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1116767709522521383.post-6240717567530864632016-01-27T15:33:00.001+13:002016-01-27T15:33:29.584+13:00Denim BagsAlthough I don't appear to be doing a lot of crafting at the moment, I am infact ticking away with my latest interest which is making all sorts out of old denim jeans. As well as making the denim aprons I've also turned the legs of the jeans into these awesome bags.<br />
<br />
Out of 2 pairs of jeans I can make 1 large apron, 1 garden apron & 3 bags. Pre xmas I made my first lot of bags which sold like hot cakes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Because of more interest in these I've just made another lot, some of which are already on their way to Australia.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U0t1_EYz0Bc/VqgrTqvfMTI/AAAAAAAACGs/dnn28_k4WpY/s1600/DSCF6208.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-U0t1_EYz0Bc/VqgrTqvfMTI/AAAAAAAACGs/dnn28_k4WpY/s640/DSCF6208.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1gOBk28MWA/VqgrR1MpZfI/AAAAAAAACGk/URQtfNFLs68/s1600/DSCF6211.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z1gOBk28MWA/VqgrR1MpZfI/AAAAAAAACGk/URQtfNFLs68/s640/DSCF6211.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
These are all fully lined with a cotton fabric, and as you can see have a fancy side and a plainer side which has a pocket on for a bit of interest. Most of the handles are either from the hem of the jeans or the waistband.<br />
<br />
These are really fun to make, and are fulfilling my desire to recycle cleverly. When I have sufficient stock I will be selling these at local markets.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05616087576306786030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1116767709522521383.post-62131475403473889872015-12-15T16:43:00.000+13:002015-12-15T16:43:33.807+13:00Christmas TreatsHere's yet another special way to do gift boxes. I'm sure you all know by now I LOVE making little gift boxes. I've used this idea to quickly make lots of little boxes to give to all my friends at work.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sYLryg5GQAc/Vm-HP20AL6I/AAAAAAAACFs/AHaYGcF4gjE/s1600/DSCF6138.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sYLryg5GQAc/Vm-HP20AL6I/AAAAAAAACFs/AHaYGcF4gjE/s640/DSCF6138.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YMtNtLzpN_I/Vm-HR53WJTI/AAAAAAAACF4/BmlN0SD0JRs/s1600/DSCF6140.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-YMtNtLzpN_I/Vm-HR53WJTI/AAAAAAAACF4/BmlN0SD0JRs/s640/DSCF6140.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I found this idea on <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/">Pinterest</a> and followed the links to this awesome tutorial <a href="https://www.pinterest.com/pin/203717583119584319/">here</a>. I've made these for 6 men and 8 ladies, so wanted a fairly neutral paper collection to cater for both. Here I've used 5 pages of Kaisercraft Silver Bells papers, which actually made 15 'slices' of cake. <br />
<br />
For the ladies I've used assorted rosette roses, pearls, rhinestones and the men got snowflakes. Each box will be filled with about half a cup of homemade caramel corn. Ribbon & string hold these boxes shut.<br />
<br />
The caramel corn recipe I've used is very simple. I use this same recipe to make ricebubble cakes:<br />
<br />
100gm butter, 4tbs brown sugar, 1tbs honey. <br />
Put all in small saucepan and boil for 4 minutes.<br />
Pour over 6 cups of popped corn <br />
Mix thoroughly until all popcorn is coated.<br />
Spread out on baking tray lined with baking paper and cook at 100 deg.C for 1 hour, turning every 15 minutes. <br />
Once cool toss well to separate all the corn.<br />
Keeps for up to one week in a airtight container.<br />
<br />
YUMMY<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4CmkVSA6M10/Vm-HRYS77cI/AAAAAAAACF0/0IcRt44S1ew/s1600/DSCF6143.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4CmkVSA6M10/Vm-HRYS77cI/AAAAAAAACF0/0IcRt44S1ew/s640/DSCF6143.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Now I just have to wait for next week before I can surprise everyone. I hope you all have a safe and happy Christmas.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05616087576306786030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1116767709522521383.post-24459230246276050692015-10-16T17:33:00.001+13:002015-10-16T17:33:30.535+13:00Recycled Denim JeansI've been 'missing in action' lately because I've been trying out different things. As I've said in my profile I LOVE all crafting, so have recently gone back to my roots a bit and have been doing some more sewing. I really hate waste so I love to reuse or recycle whenever I can. I get a daily update from <a href="http://thewhoot.com.au/whoot-news/crafty-corner">Whoot</a> where they have fantastic crafts, recipes etc with LOTS of recycling ideas.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-znNvSXDXnTQ/ViB4Jarln1I/AAAAAAAACDw/6Qjud4jrz3E/s1600/apronswm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="544" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-znNvSXDXnTQ/ViB4Jarln1I/AAAAAAAACDw/6Qjud4jrz3E/s640/apronswm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I LOVE these recycled demin jeans, which I purchased ridiculously cheaply at our local Hospice shop. Firstly I tried these out on a pair of my old jeans after seeing the idea <a href="http://www.creativegreenliving.com/2013/04/farm-girl-apron-tutorial-from-recycled.html">here.</a> <br />
<br />
Making the full apron uses the front, back pocket & the bottom of 1 leg, while the smaller 'gardening apron' uses the backside & belt of another pair. Sadly both styles cannot be made from one pair unless you don't have the waistband on the full apron (which would spoil the whole effect).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sgBgZFMukDM/ViB52_-YGDI/AAAAAAAACEE/3I_cdfka7Ns/s1600/DSCF6047.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sgBgZFMukDM/ViB52_-YGDI/AAAAAAAACEE/3I_cdfka7Ns/s400/DSCF6047.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This one is my favourite, which I'll probably have to keep for myself, very closely followed by this next one.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ti96fc_mLZI/ViB50idFsCI/AAAAAAAACD8/OjJcilLg-ik/s1600/DSCF6045.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ti96fc_mLZI/ViB50idFsCI/AAAAAAAACD8/OjJcilLg-ik/s400/DSCF6045.JPG" width="377" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PuCfmqfUIYg/ViB53bHCSNI/AAAAAAAACEI/xk79q93JvFM/s1600/DSCF6043.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="376" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PuCfmqfUIYg/ViB53bHCSNI/AAAAAAAACEI/xk79q93JvFM/s400/DSCF6043.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fnSTs5MqRSU/ViB6FJla2MI/AAAAAAAACEU/Zx21xNIkMcc/s1600/DSCF6049.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-fnSTs5MqRSU/ViB6FJla2MI/AAAAAAAACEU/Zx21xNIkMcc/s400/DSCF6049.JPG" width="378" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iWBnbCA6ZFE/ViB6Gf2sTSI/AAAAAAAACEc/Mbt8sS0LXUA/s1600/DSCF6050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="385" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iWBnbCA6ZFE/ViB6Gf2sTSI/AAAAAAAACEc/Mbt8sS0LXUA/s400/DSCF6050.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I tried several different styles, as we all like different things, with the following being much plainer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NmEwVlc0exw/ViB6GCaeNsI/AAAAAAAACEY/PXb0JZBCNOo/s1600/DSCF6053.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NmEwVlc0exw/ViB6GCaeNsI/AAAAAAAACEY/PXb0JZBCNOo/s400/DSCF6053.JPG" width="393" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nodePqartss/ViB6Q_UrrHI/AAAAAAAACEs/KcJPwdt3n8M/s1600/DSCF6055.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nodePqartss/ViB6Q_UrrHI/AAAAAAAACEs/KcJPwdt3n8M/s400/DSCF6055.JPG" width="386" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
These half 'gardening aprons' are proving very popular, providing handy pockets for all your bits and pieces when in the garden. I love using the 'grungier' jeans for these and have also tried to use jeans with labels still attached.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KsW3cR-KNJw/ViB6XOnvKoI/AAAAAAAACE8/UjZOLCUk6CU/s1600/DSCF6057.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="291" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KsW3cR-KNJw/ViB6XOnvKoI/AAAAAAAACE8/UjZOLCUk6CU/s400/DSCF6057.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3oyqTV9LbHk/ViB6V5p9TAI/AAAAAAAACE0/4oGoU6-4N7c/s1600/DSCF6058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3oyqTV9LbHk/ViB6V5p9TAI/AAAAAAAACE0/4oGoU6-4N7c/s400/DSCF6058.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BZT6JJPhRsU/ViB6qqN-5UI/AAAAAAAACFU/s5YeYUpTCjk/s1600/DSCF6062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="315" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BZT6JJPhRsU/ViB6qqN-5UI/AAAAAAAACFU/s5YeYUpTCjk/s400/DSCF6062.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DjU8STuvWhE/ViB6jVMN6aI/AAAAAAAACFE/paxAyj2pUZw/s1600/DSCF6059.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="278" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DjU8STuvWhE/ViB6jVMN6aI/AAAAAAAACFE/paxAyj2pUZw/s400/DSCF6059.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Oe7nAjGpVuQ/ViB6uCsVxWI/AAAAAAAACFc/MNg1zFMN_Yc/s1600/DSCF6064.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="328" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Oe7nAjGpVuQ/ViB6uCsVxWI/AAAAAAAACFc/MNg1zFMN_Yc/s400/DSCF6064.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z7SvviqHAeg/ViB6nwK9JfI/AAAAAAAACFM/6N9V38XxXBA/s1600/DSCF6061.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="308" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z7SvviqHAeg/ViB6nwK9JfI/AAAAAAAACFM/6N9V38XxXBA/s400/DSCF6061.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Again some of these ones have purposely been left plainer to hopefully cater for all tastes. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These are all available for sale for my New Zealand friends as I am making these to be sold at upcoming pre xmas markets. If you are interested in making a purchase please just leave me a comment (which if you choose will not be published). Wish me luck.</div>

Also I'm trying to get into my garden (between showers) and I've even been doing a bit of sewing . . . but that's another story.<br />
<br />
One lovely lady I follow on facebook runs <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/445533162290788/?pnref=story">Krafters Cart NZ</a> where she sells all sorts of supplies at great prices. Anyhow she is running a Xmas card challenge this month where I have entered this card.<br />

<br />
I saw this amazing card while looking thru pinterest, and following the link given found a great tutorial <a href="http://omelitsa.livejournal.com/187589.html">here.</a> It is in a foreign language but the drawing she has given is very easy to follow. Here is the pattern I used from the site, of which I tweeked a bit to create a 6" x 4" card.<br />

The paperline I've used is the Teresa Collins 'Christmas Home' collection, gorgeous papers, and I love the quality of her papers. I hope this inspires you to start thinking xmas also.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05616087576306786030noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1116767709522521383.post-40866133012618522372015-08-28T20:07:00.000+12:002015-08-28T20:07:19.035+12:00Welcome Little One - mini albumWhat a mammoth effort I have put into this mini album I have to share with you all today. Here is my DT creation for the latest challenge at <a href="http://www.southerngirlschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/">Southern Girls Challenge</a> where this time the theme is my all time favourite - FLOWERS - yay! ! I am also entering this into the <a href="http://iamroses-challenge.blogspot.co.nz/">I am Roses</a> monthly challenge as I have used their gorgeous flowers throughout.<br />
<br />

This gorgeous little album measures 6" x 6" and is FULL of tags, cards, flaps, pockets, booklets and quotes. Throughout I've used papers from the Kaisercraft 'Pitter Patter - Girl' paper collection and collectables. Every edge has been inked using TH Spun Sugar distress ink.<br />
<br />
I got the idea for this from one of the lovely <a href="http://blog.majadesign.nu/">Maja</a> DT's - Cathy McGrath who showed off her version of this album <a href="http://cathymc-sewcreative.blogspot.se/2015/08/vintage-pocket-page-baby-girl-album.html">here.</a> I followed her link to the You Tube tutorial where she learnt this from Ginger at My Sisters Scrapper <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFZorAtDQEE">here</a>. Its a 6 part tutorial, but well worth every minute.<br />
<br />
Still photos really don't show this off to its full potential, but I hope you can see it well enough to enjoy and be enthused to make your own. It really is quite easy.I <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
There are LOTS of places for photos and journaling. Inside every page a large 6" x 6" photo mat is tucked (you will see them with the tabs to help pull them out. I made a couple of small envelopes which store more cards, for journaling and the waterfall on the inside back cover adds even more photo mats.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I tried to use as much of the extras on the sticker sheet and collectables as possible. And of course it wouldn't be a girlie album without heaps of drop dead gorgeous flowers. I've used some rosette roses, but mostly <a href="http://www.iamroses.com/">I am Roses</a> blooms. Here I've used Daisies, small daisies, cherry blossoms, S10 blooms, rosebuds, leaves. And of course pearls, rhinestones, satin ribbon & seam binding.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now this is finished I am packing it up very safely and posting it off to my best mates daughter in England who just this week had her baby girl. I'm hope Ally will love this and put all her photos and memorabilia of Lani's first days in here.</div>

I have a real block scrapping these as most of the photos are all very much the same colours throughout - sand or bright blue cloudless skies, with not a flower to be seen. Scrapping my usual styles I NEED flowers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JTgQFw2RnLI/VdOvET7jfrI/AAAAAAAAB_Y/gK4SvIpcwzk/s1600/komombowm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="630" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-JTgQFw2RnLI/VdOvET7jfrI/AAAAAAAAB_Y/gK4SvIpcwzk/s640/komombowm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The colours of these gorgeous BoBunny 'Somewhere in Time' papers are just perfect to use with these photos, I had real fun using them and including some of the elements along with the corrugated cardboard and gauze.<br />
<br />
I chose these colours and the theme of my page with the help of the <a href="http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.nl/">Scrap Around the World</a> moodboard<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love the grunginess of this paper collection which I've enhanced with lots of ripping, distressing and the cardboard. The gorgeous metal embellishments come from <a href="http://www.faithpocockcraftstudio.com/">Faith Pocock</a>, which was a great way to add 'pretties' without the use of flowers. Enjoy some closeups:</div>

Hopefully now I can keep on a roll and scrap a few more of these awesome memories instead of leaving them hiding away in the drawer.</div>

I followed this sketch from <a href="http://www.artfullcrafts.co.nz/Competitions/August/Sketch-Challenge">Artfull crafts</a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GyY_p6-imvk/VdFR99m9Z_I/AAAAAAAAB-A/AmWkfLCn7OI/s1600/sit%252520107%2525204_4_13.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GyY_p6-imvk/VdFR99m9Z_I/AAAAAAAAB-A/AmWkfLCn7OI/s320/sit%252520107%2525204_4_13.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here is my 1st layout which I will be entering in the <a href="http://www.artfullcrafts.co.nz/Competitions/August/Sketch-Challenge">Artfull crafts</a> monthly challenge.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eJGef44IiwY/VdFSaYEz2mI/AAAAAAAAB-I/p8vqUqLgBtk/s1600/legolandwm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eJGef44IiwY/VdFSaYEz2mI/AAAAAAAAB-I/p8vqUqLgBtk/s640/legolandwm.jpg" width="638" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
This was fun to make, using lots of plain, bright coloured paper & scraps, matching the colours in the photo. Using the TH filmstrip allows lots more photos to be added also.<br />
<br />
All the time I was making 'Legoland' I had ideas churning around in my head for a totally different looking layout using this same sketch and this is how it has turned out, looking nothing like above.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V8h6zhxCTTs/VdKCT3gfYxI/AAAAAAAAB-k/axnvKoaRGqs/s1600/fantails2wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="634" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-V8h6zhxCTTs/VdKCT3gfYxI/AAAAAAAAB-k/axnvKoaRGqs/s640/fantails2wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Lots of different elements have been used here. I started by spraying some Dylusions Ink Spray - Lemon Zest in the areas where the photos were going, then used Dylusions Crushed Grape to colour the burlap, <em>Elegant Frame DA869, Heart Arrow #2 DA1026. </em>Dylusions Slate Grey was used on the <em>Page Pebble #10 DA11154.</em> All sprays were dripped over the page. Prima bling and random flowers finish the page.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-z-nJFV1IglI/VdKCdU_37iI/AAAAAAAAB-0/JQUkkZ_2CQs/s1600/DSCF5952.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-z-nJFV1IglI/VdKCdU_37iI/AAAAAAAAB-0/JQUkkZ_2CQs/s400/DSCF5952.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TS4QSmRCO44/VdKCcT0DFCI/AAAAAAAAB-w/jIs6GIh-5B0/s1600/DSCF5953.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-TS4QSmRCO44/VdKCcT0DFCI/AAAAAAAAB-w/jIs6GIh-5B0/s400/DSCF5953.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
I am entering this one into the <a href="http://dustyatticblog.blogspot.co.nz/">Dusty Attic</a> challenge and have used their Inspiration Board for the colours.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n-IqVeoqaG0/VdFTlBN6b4I/AAAAAAAAB-U/VF1QgMd12-8/s1600/11825016_839924779419319_3856127367128198647_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n-IqVeoqaG0/VdFTlBN6b4I/AAAAAAAAB-U/VF1QgMd12-8/s320/11825016_839924779419319_3856127367128198647_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It really helps when you've got great photos to work with, both layouts were make with photos I 'borrowed' from facebook.</div>

Lots of new techniques were attempted (and mastered I hope). Many a time I put this aside and infact on more than one occasion it was nearly gesso'd over to begin again. So please leave me some feedback (good or bad) so I can attempt another such creation.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
This is a 9 x 12" canvas, featuring a photo of my son and his partner during their holiday in Bali. After a coat of gesso I followed a tutorial to create the textured background, full of crackle, dry wall tape, stamping, embossing, spray mists and magical powders. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Sharon at <a href="http://blog.lindystampgang.com/">Lindy's Stamp Gang</a> showed her tutorial <a href="http://blog.lindystampgang.com/2015/07/17/lindys-gessoed-crackle-technique/">here</a>. LSG sprays I've used are <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/ramblin-rose-pink/">Ramblin' Rose Pink</a> and <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/sea-mint-green/">Sea Mint Green</a>. I've also used Peony Scarlet Red and Bells of Ireland Green from the <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/pigment-powders/prairie-wildflower-magicals/">Prairie Wildflowers Magicals</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UZ4tf4dfO3I/Vc_XFV-moXI/AAAAAAAAB9M/bTB_YNro5Fk/s1600/DSCF5931.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UZ4tf4dfO3I/Vc_XFV-moXI/AAAAAAAAB9M/bTB_YNro5Fk/s400/DSCF5931.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I did a lot of random embossing using a couple of stamps, the extra texture is fabulous. Under the photo I've placed this awesome <a href="http://www.dustyattic.com.au/">Dusty Attic</a> Number Panel DA1050, which was coloured with a Dylusions Ink spray - Dry Martini. I've also used the stamp randomly on this panel.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<br />
Lots of <a href="http://tworzysko.blogspot.co.nz/">Finnabair</a> ingredients were added along with metal embellishments from <a href="http://www.faithpocockcraftstudio.com/">Faith Pocock</a> . I love the 'pop' of colour provided in the peacock feathers.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

This shows how versatile the gorgeous <a href="http://majadesign.nu/">Maja Designs</a> paper collections really are. At first glance they look all sweet and florally but they really cater for all interests.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SjGAbI9yrcs/VcVUHBqbalI/AAAAAAAAB8Q/PZ8Bu5ClX_c/s1600/brett40wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SjGAbI9yrcs/VcVUHBqbalI/AAAAAAAAB8Q/PZ8Bu5ClX_c/s640/brett40wm.jpg" width="600" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've used papers from both the 'Vintage Autumn Basics' and 'Life by the Sea' collections, which I've distressed, embossed and layered on my manila card along with some burlap & string.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've used the colours and am entering this in the Maja <a href="http://blog.majadesign.nu/2015/07/mood-board-july-august/">moodboard</a> which features colours from their latest collection 'Summer Crush' which is so fresh and beachy feeling (can't wait to get my hands on some).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Di8eoXO0Lcs/VcVWPnaNtTI/AAAAAAAAB8c/HzLV0zm0J4Y/s1600/Moodboard-July-Aug.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Di8eoXO0Lcs/VcVWPnaNtTI/AAAAAAAAB8c/HzLV0zm0J4Y/s400/Moodboard-July-Aug.png" width="400" /></a></div>

They are usually quick and easy to make if you need something in a hurry - obviously I don't fit in this category as sometimes they take just about as long to make as a layout. So today I have 2 cards to share, with this first one being my DT entry for <a href="http://www.southerngirlschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/">Southern Girls Challenge.</a> The theme this week is Anything Goes, so lets see lots of entries this time.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GP-GpqEzV3A/VbXVt2rXBvI/AAAAAAAAB64/jhLNy-FDFpE/s1600/blueheart2wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="572" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GP-GpqEzV3A/VbXVt2rXBvI/AAAAAAAAB64/jhLNy-FDFpE/s640/blueheart2wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6UGvkr0rM0s/VbXVsiMU-jI/AAAAAAAAB6w/NCS6T05LnYo/s1600/blueheartwm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="620" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6UGvkr0rM0s/VbXVsiMU-jI/AAAAAAAAB6w/NCS6T05LnYo/s640/blueheartwm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Some of you may have already seen this card as it was entered in the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/pages/Scrap-a-bull/197342693614627">Scrap-a-bull</a> facebook monthly challenge. This card was for the 2nd part of the challenge, the criteria was to create a card with a heart and banner. I will also enter this into the <a href="http://www.artfullcrafts.co.nz/Competitions/June/July-2015">Artfull crafts</a> monthly challenge.<br />
<br />
Part One of the Scrap-a-bull challenge was to create a multi folded card, which I made this stepped card for. I will also enter this into the <a href="http://iamroses-challenge.blogspot.co.nz/">I am Roses</a> monthly challenge as this has lots of beautiful IAR blooms on the front.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Lots of bright colours to cheer up these dreary days we are having at the moment.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P4BxxSJgFT0/VbQkqJvZB6I/AAAAAAAAB6Q/QVIPGN6GEqY/s1600/not%2Bthe%2Bend.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="450" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-P4BxxSJgFT0/VbQkqJvZB6I/AAAAAAAAB6Q/QVIPGN6GEqY/s640/not%2Bthe%2Bend.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the first time I've used my Dylusion paints - love them to bits, with everything being outlined with a black gelato. TH Distress inks were used thru lots of different stencils. Black and white sharpie pens finish the smaller details. <br />
<br />
As well as trying to brighten up this dreary day I've used the inspiration board from <a href="http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.nl/">Scrap around the World</a> whose monthly challenge I will enter this into. I've used all the bright colours, the flowers and the steps in my page.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MzMaEsQQd78/VbQlv038LFI/AAAAAAAAB6Y/2UYnf-Jm2Xo/s1600/July%2B2015.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MzMaEsQQd78/VbQlv038LFI/AAAAAAAAB6Y/2UYnf-Jm2Xo/s320/July%2B2015.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I just love the quote I've used - "<em>You can't run out of Creativity so this is not the end". </em>I may even use this on a page I've got to create in an journal swap I'm doing at the moment as we are very close to the end. This page is my interpretation of one of the masses of works I've seen on facebook, thank you to the original artist. </div>

I'm really struggling with my mojo at the moment so it took a long time to finally decide where I was going with this one. I am however now excited by the outcome, again using a slightly different style to what I am used to (perhaps that's where my mojo is getting lost??)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ObNSwa0g4yM/VbHnR3WhKhI/AAAAAAAAB48/Tq_-ywHUx1E/s1600/beach1wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ObNSwa0g4yM/VbHnR3WhKhI/AAAAAAAAB48/Tq_-ywHUx1E/s640/beach1wm.jpg" width="630" /></a></div>
<br />
For inspiration I have used the LO sketch from <a href="http://www.artfullcrafts.co.nz/Competitions/June/July-2015">Artfull crafts</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W34EIvVgo-g/VbHoegjYFVI/AAAAAAAAB5o/Q-gbv-g_AJ4/s1600/sketch%252520in%252520thyme%252520june%252520challenge.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-W34EIvVgo-g/VbHoegjYFVI/AAAAAAAAB5o/Q-gbv-g_AJ4/s200/sketch%252520in%252520thyme%252520june%252520challenge.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I tried to follow the colour chart from <a href="http://blog.lindystampgang.com/color-challenge-info/">Lindy's Stamp Gang</a> monthly colour challenge</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q4fBBFfYxMo/VbHofOxvnlI/AAAAAAAAB54/SLAgc2eAAlM/s1600/2015-july.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-q4fBBFfYxMo/VbHofOxvnlI/AAAAAAAAB54/SLAgc2eAAlM/s200/2015-july.jpg" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And I've followed the 'Summer Days' theme from <a href="http://mixedmediamc.blogspot.co.nz/2015/07/mixed-media-monthly-challenge-14-summer.html">Mixed Media Monthly Challenge</a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've started with a Prima Seashore paper which has been misted and splattered with lots of LSG mists <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/opal-sea-oats/">Opal Sea Oats</a>, <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/hydrangea-blue/">Hydrangea Blue</a>, <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/lucky-shamrock-green/">Lucky Shamrock Green</a>, <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/sea-mint-green/">Sea Mint Green</a>. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lots of Dusty Attic chippies have been added: <em>DA1042 Seagulls, DA558 Anchors, DA1076 Hashtag sayings #1. </em></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Finnabair Art Ingredients microbeads and mica flakes were also used.</div>

I've always admired the style <a href="http://louise-justloolabelle.blogspot.com.au/">Louise Nelson</a> uses and the astonishing layouts she creates and up until now I've really been too scared to even try. The way she used tiny photos and/or small parts of photos is nothing short of remarkable. So after spending a few hours looking over her work I've been brave enough to try.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tfS9hgUNTvU/VaRvk4SY0uI/AAAAAAAAB4I/oA1jhFHLlqw/s1600/lsg1wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tfS9hgUNTvU/VaRvk4SY0uI/AAAAAAAAB4I/oA1jhFHLlqw/s640/lsg1wm.jpg" width="634" /></a></div>
<br />
I started with a Kaisercraft 'Sandy Toes' paper, then sprayed and splotched with Lindy's Stamp Gang mists <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/azure-sea-asters/">Azure Sea Asters</a> & <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/sea-mint-green/">Sea Mint Green.</a> The blue was enhanced with a bit of Lumiere Metallic Acrylic paint. After painting my chipboard frame it was sprayed with <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/opal-sea-oats/">Opal Sea Oats</a> which has given it an awesome shimmer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XUgNhWyRpN0/VaRvmraEk8I/AAAAAAAAB4U/Z0hVSt1Y5ms/s1600/lsg2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XUgNhWyRpN0/VaRvmraEk8I/AAAAAAAAB4U/Z0hVSt1Y5ms/s400/lsg2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ry8egTvjlc0/VaRvmGs-VuI/AAAAAAAAB4Q/w6WAnTQbLAw/s1600/lsg3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ry8egTvjlc0/VaRvmGs-VuI/AAAAAAAAB4Q/w6WAnTQbLAw/s400/lsg3.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added some <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/pigment-powders/prairie-wildflower-magicals/">Prairie Wildflower magicals</a> to the flower using Bachelor Button blue & Bells of Ireland green, with a flatback pearl for the centre.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've finished the page with thread, more splotches, small flatback pearls and some stickers from the Kaisercraft collection.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am entering this into the <a href="http://blog.lindystampgang.com/color-challenge-info/">Lindy's Stamp Gang</a> colour challenge using their inspiration board as a guide.</div>

I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do, so I just went for it and stuck things down as I went instead of all the procrastinating I usually do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xgmQ4F0rbHs/VaHKttxgStI/AAAAAAAAB3I/FJuhkeAZYPU/s1600/nature1wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xgmQ4F0rbHs/VaHKttxgStI/AAAAAAAAB3I/FJuhkeAZYPU/s640/nature1wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I love this Kaisercraft 'Kaleidescope' paper and was determined to use some of the stickers and cut outs from the collection as well. TH 'Rusty Hinge worked through a TCW stencil matched and enhanced the pattern on the paper. Scrap paper strips and music paper add more interest to the background.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_CAgSU2TkoE/VaHKvsIZ-mI/AAAAAAAAB3Q/2YOAHKZoru0/s1600/nature2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-_CAgSU2TkoE/VaHKvsIZ-mI/AAAAAAAAB3Q/2YOAHKZoru0/s400/nature2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Gorgeous BoBunny & Dusty Attic blooms are the perfect colour to compliment the photo. I've used LOTS of Dusty Attic chippies which were mostly painted, some then having flatback pearls attached.</div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H2hA4f4r_iI/VaBy7_IT1pI/AAAAAAAAB2o/Ivr54qiHn6A/s1600/zita2wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-H2hA4f4r_iI/VaBy7_IT1pI/AAAAAAAAB2o/Ivr54qiHn6A/s640/zita2wm.jpg" width="596" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8hJVucf7kdA/VaBy9UFZrxI/AAAAAAAAB20/NMs7GQThBMQ/s1600/zitawm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="512" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-8hJVucf7kdA/VaBy9UFZrxI/AAAAAAAAB20/NMs7GQThBMQ/s640/zitawm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This one was made for my neighbour who loves her garden, hence the butterflies and flowers. This card has been entered into the <a href="http://iamroses-challenge.blogspot.co.nz/">I am Roses</a> monthly challenge, using 2 of their awesome products being the tulips and leaves.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1qo_oys6NPE/VaBy6pnVpyI/AAAAAAAAB2c/JigrOWa2a8I/s1600/jemma2wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="489" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1qo_oys6NPE/VaBy6pnVpyI/AAAAAAAAB2c/JigrOWa2a8I/s640/jemma2wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AlrAeyryHK4/VaBy7dBHOPI/AAAAAAAAB2g/llagV1i0FeA/s1600/jemmawm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="467" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AlrAeyryHK4/VaBy7dBHOPI/AAAAAAAAB2g/llagV1i0FeA/s640/jemmawm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Jemma loves skulls, so I made this card for her using fabric scraps as I couldn't find any skull/skeleton paper in time. This card has been entered into the <a href="http://www.artfullcrafts.co.nz/Competitions/June/July-2015">Artfull crafts</a> colour challenge, which required greens/blacks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm just loving making these multi folded cards, anything for a bit of a challenge that's me.</div>

The theme this time at <a href="http://southerngirlschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/">Southern Girls Challenge</a> is 'Stickers & Tape' of which I use neither. For that reason I straight away thought of doing a page in my art journal using these different supplies.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yKeZl0ioLVQ/VZCsAEQIn_I/AAAAAAAAB1s/xYFmL9NiaF4/s1600/birds%2Bjournal%2Bwm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="446" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yKeZl0ioLVQ/VZCsAEQIn_I/AAAAAAAAB1s/xYFmL9NiaF4/s640/birds%2Bjournal%2Bwm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I started by following the beginnings of an <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtdZJMZKlrU&index=18&list=PLJBs2m8VJjmOSkDDgWJ-YryMLhn3kukJD">Andrea Walford</a> express journal page, which used the stencilling, washi tape, cotton & ink splatter. Then I added the stickers which came from the Kaisercraft Curiosity collection. <br />
After outlining the words, I started outlining the birds & butterflies but decided because of how the stickers had been cut out, they actually looked better not outlined.<br />
<br />
That's my little step into the 'unfamiliar', I'd love to see yours too. Come and join us for this challenge, there are some awesome prizes to be won from our fabulous sponsors.Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05616087576306786030noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1116767709522521383.post-88858313530302383622015-06-30T15:44:00.000+12:002015-06-30T15:44:12.677+12:00More from EgyptYay I'm the winner. <br />
Todays layout has been created very rushed as Part 2 of the monthly <a href="http://www.scrapabull.co.nz/">Scrap-a-bull</a> facebook challenge. For Part 1 I submitted my lovely layout about 'Mia's Christening', and was luckily chosen in the Top 3 which now required me to create a layout following this sketch<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GdpqUXpmEGQ/VYz7Uz-k0BI/AAAAAAAAB0o/zoJHfxwqVWw/s1600/10929023_1110922318923322_989126799173121071_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GdpqUXpmEGQ/VYz7Uz-k0BI/AAAAAAAAB0o/zoJHfxwqVWw/s320/10929023_1110922318923322_989126799173121071_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For my layout I rotated this sketch once clockwise to suit my photos.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><img border="0" height="636" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-0KCxSIZXHeY/VYz972fNY7I/AAAAAAAAB1I/rDC5jGNjq_w/s640/sphinx1wm.jpg" width="640" /></span></div>
<br />
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started by creating LOTS of strips of texture under my photos, using ripped dictionary paper, embossed cardstock, corrugated cardboard, drywall tape, burlap. All then got a coat of gesso before being coloured primarily with <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/">Lindy's Stamp Gang</a> mists.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next I heat embossed the awesome <a href="http://www.dustyattic.com.au/">Dusty Attic</a> Geometric Corners, which I cut into the 5 pieces I've attached around the page. These were surrounded with glass & micro beads. I LOVE THESE.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--5JXblgipmE/VYz95iYvvhI/AAAAAAAAB08/7_l-lKwmPzA/s1600/DSCF5809.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--5JXblgipmE/VYz95iYvvhI/AAAAAAAAB08/7_l-lKwmPzA/s400/DSCF5809.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EUElRJ28RRc/VYz94y1rtZI/AAAAAAAAB04/mS9bIdCO2cM/s1600/DSCF5811.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EUElRJ28RRc/VYz94y1rtZI/AAAAAAAAB04/mS9bIdCO2cM/s400/DSCF5811.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dg3JdTpj2So/VYz90j1vq2I/AAAAAAAAB0w/4X3pvR563VE/s1600/DSCF5810.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Dg3JdTpj2So/VYz90j1vq2I/AAAAAAAAB0w/4X3pvR563VE/s400/DSCF5810.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eFzJakchEwE/VYz9_63he1I/AAAAAAAAB1Q/IpiM7mAX5kE/s1600/DSCF5812.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eFzJakchEwE/VYz9_63he1I/AAAAAAAAB1Q/IpiM7mAX5kE/s400/DSCF5812.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To finish the page I added some splotches, some light random stamping then heat embossed <a href="http://www.imagineif.co.nz/">Imagine if .</a> stars. I'm impressed with the new Prima stamp I've used around the outside of the page.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Thank you to all of you who voted for me on facebook, I wouldn't have won without you all.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I'm chuffed I've found yet another awesome monthly challenge to enter <a href="http://mixedmediamc.blogspot.co.nz/">The Mixed Media Monthly Challenge</a> is another site that offers an awesome inspiration board and very minimal requirements to join in. This month is their birthday so they have put all the themes from the last 12 months on their board. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B5J1PlUYrWY/VYJs0WT8-QI/AAAAAAAABzs/a8Myq9oMoQI/s1600/11101870_10103919673095592_3502836625563790106_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-B5J1PlUYrWY/VYJs0WT8-QI/AAAAAAAABzs/a8Myq9oMoQI/s400/11101870_10103919673095592_3502836625563790106_n.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
For those of you who know my work you will know I LOVE FLOWERS, so that is my theme of choice. Here I've created a tag which I am also entering into the monthly <a href="http://www.imagineif.co.nz/">Imagine if . . </a> challenge. I am also entering this into the <a href="http://blog.lindystampgang.com/color-challenge-info/">Lindy's Stamp Gang</a> colour challenge using their colour chart </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rq0fHQN3kRA/VYJs05CLolI/AAAAAAAABzw/Eh12H-2OSLA/s1600/2015-june.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rq0fHQN3kRA/VYJs05CLolI/AAAAAAAABzw/Eh12H-2OSLA/s400/2015-june.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The tag I've created was firstly covered with drywall tape then I added lace, lots of Imagine if chippies then glass beads. When all the glue was dry it got a coat of gesso, then a coat of black paint. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
Then believe it or not I sprayed the whole thing with LSG <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/sweet-violet-purple-teal/">Sweet Violet Purple Teal</a> where obviously the Teal has really won over the other colours, even though when moisture is applied the purple shines thru. The little mini roses were coloured with LSG <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/ramblin-rose-pink/">Ramblin' Rose Pink</a> grunged a bit with TH Black Soot. The velvet stem and leaves was grunged by spraying with LSG <a href="http://www.lindystampgang.com/sprays/two-toned-sprays/opal-sea-oats/">Opal Sea Oats.</a> <br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As usual I had fun making my own flowers, I adore these zipper flowers - this one has a rolled paper flower for the centre along with a bead. Butterflies from the G45 Steampunk Debutante collection finish the page along with the sweet sentiment.</div>

Thank you for visiting, I hope you like what you find here and hopefully I can inspire you in some way with my creations. To find a tutorial for the zipper flower just follow the link provided in my Tutorials page.</div>

Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed that challenge, but its also nice to ease back into familiar territory again. Here I have created a layout using the <a href="http://blog.majadesign.nu/2015/06/june-mood-board-3/">Maja moodboard</a>, which in itself was quite a challenge to create this 12 x 12 page out of only a 6 x 6 pad.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-I_BzREBnkhs/VXqV6UnM3SI/AAAAAAAAByc/OyJkWI_2CHY/s1600/Moodboard-June.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-I_BzREBnkhs/VXqV6UnM3SI/AAAAAAAAByc/OyJkWI_2CHY/s400/Moodboard-June.png" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Luckily the colours choosen here match my one and only 6 x 6 pad perfectly . I decided to create a 'patchwork quilt' for my background by using 4 pages which were cut into 3" squares.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9vzkHRww5mI/VXtkRk3bQdI/AAAAAAAABzI/YZ6ynbvAJgo/s1600/fishwm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="634" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9vzkHRww5mI/VXtkRk3bQdI/AAAAAAAABzI/YZ6ynbvAJgo/s640/fishwm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've used the 'Vintage Autumn basics' collection, where I've distressed all 16 squares before arranging on my page. I stitched around 4 squares only, just randomly placed around the page, also stitching around my photo.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Lf1Q890l9OU/VXtkT9PMmAI/AAAAAAAABzQ/_RkAk-uM5jo/s1600/DSCF5757.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Lf1Q890l9OU/VXtkT9PMmAI/AAAAAAAABzQ/_RkAk-uM5jo/s400/DSCF5757.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nl3JKvsuBZY/VXtkIXD0TAI/AAAAAAAABy8/KvKSVBdPa54/s1600/DSCF5754.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nl3JKvsuBZY/VXtkIXD0TAI/AAAAAAAABy8/KvKSVBdPa54/s400/DSCF5754.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've used lots of <a href="http://www.dustyattic.com.au/">Dusty Attic</a> chipboard which were mostly painted, I glued micro beads to create the reed flower heads. The anchor was crackled under the paint and looks very aged now. The <a href="http://www.imagineif.co.nz/">Imagine if</a> sea egg has been finished with Perfect Pearls, so its really shimmers. The little starfish are actually real starfish which I've just painted. </div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I enjoyed making this male page and really loved achieving a page with no flowers. </div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Its been a pleasure working with these gorgeous<span id="goog_89468054"></span><a href="http://blog.majadesign.nu/"> Maja<span id="goog_89468055"></span></a> papers as they are so versatile, they can be used from soft 'baby' projects right thru to grungy 'male' creations.</div>

I've been following all the extremely talented crafters sharing their <a href="http://tworzysko.blogspot.co.nz/">Finnabair</a> inspired projects on facebook. I would so love to be able to produce canvas' like they do, who knows I believe Anna is coming here to New Zealand later this year, hopefully I can get to a class (or two). <br />
My layout has also been inspired by several inspiration boards from 3 different challenges, below.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1vrGiQoNT0Q/VXaCq4nWFhI/AAAAAAAABxk/O6bvF0XGbR8/s1600/cory%2526steviwm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1vrGiQoNT0Q/VXaCq4nWFhI/AAAAAAAABxk/O6bvF0XGbR8/s640/cory%2526steviwm.jpg" width="630" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I started with a Kaisercraft 'Key to my Heart' paper. I layered strips of scrap paper, lace and drywall tape under the photo area. Then applied texture paste thru a stencil before giving the area a coat of gesso. I randomly touched areas with a script stamp then got to work with 2 different Lindy's Stamp Gang mists (listed below). The Dusty Attic number panel was then attached under the photo after it was painted several times and aged. Prima glass beads and micro beads were then attached. A couple of I am Roses & leaves finish the page. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Before attaching the photo everything was again touched up with the Lindy's Stamp Gang mists - the page is shimmering sadly not shown in the photo.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Enjoy these closeups:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zIEYRP8misU/VXaCqakyc4I/AAAAAAAABxg/bTR1BzwCnOc/s1600/DSCF5736.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zIEYRP8misU/VXaCqakyc4I/AAAAAAAABxg/bTR1BzwCnOc/s400/DSCF5736.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yQNBS1Zkq7g/VXaCpHC29nI/AAAAAAAABxY/lSr3v--qgcQ/s1600/DSCF5740.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yQNBS1Zkq7g/VXaCpHC29nI/AAAAAAAABxY/lSr3v--qgcQ/s400/DSCF5740.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pQ25XjEmzjE/VXaCnWOfZtI/AAAAAAAABxQ/-ZsbJEWWHtY/s1600/DSCF5738.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pQ25XjEmzjE/VXaCnWOfZtI/AAAAAAAABxQ/-ZsbJEWWHtY/s400/DSCF5738.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I REALLY struggled with this page infact I walked away from it several times without a clue as to how to progress. After the background was done I nearly put it all in the rubbish until I pulled out this awesome Dusty Attic number panel. I challenged myself to use minimal flowers - yay I did achieve this.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Challenges I am entering this into along with their inspiration boards and products used are as follows:</div>

This is their fantastic Inspiration Board I've used. Straight away I loved the delicate shades of pink, the roses and the sparklies which reminded me of this gorgeous christening photo I've used, and of course it was a great celebration.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wfI2GrYEEMU/VWfpjwzJq5I/AAAAAAAABwo/jJC3i0ke5EY/s1600/SATW%2B2015%2BMB%2B5%2BHELEN%2BTILBURY.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-wfI2GrYEEMU/VWfpjwzJq5I/AAAAAAAABwo/jJC3i0ke5EY/s400/SATW%2B2015%2BMB%2B5%2BHELEN%2BTILBURY.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I've created this layout trying out a new style to me, which is successfully used by lots of hugely talented ladies out there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EvjR1e3LR70/VWfogqcwNeI/AAAAAAAABwY/zn42X8agFDQ/s1600/miawm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="636" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-EvjR1e3LR70/VWfogqcwNeI/AAAAAAAABwY/zn42X8agFDQ/s640/miawm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I've used lots of Kaisercraft papers from the 'Precious Moments' & 'Key to my Heart collections' (5 actually if you are counting), which I have layered up once all were distressed, punched or stitched, with the photo layered up on a total of 8 different layers. The lace layer breaks up the background a bit. Dusty Attic chipboard, BoBunny & I am Roses blooms add more of the soft feminine feel to the page.<br />
Enjoy these closeups<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-21H-ShtuAoc/VWfodayhD9I/AAAAAAAABwM/cSCvQ6e90oM/s1600/DSCF5710.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-21H-ShtuAoc/VWfodayhD9I/AAAAAAAABwM/cSCvQ6e90oM/s400/DSCF5710.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Also I'm using this lovely layout as inspiration for all the entrants at the latest <a href="http://www.southerngirlschallenge.blogspot.co.nz/">Southern Girls Challenge</a> where this time the theme is <strong>'Tic Tac Toe</strong>'. I've used the first line on the grid which is 'Lace - Patterned Paper - Roses'. This type of challenge ends up with some amazing combinations and is such fun, I can't wait to see what you all come up with. As usual there are great prizes to be won here from our fabulous sponsors. Why not join in. </div>

I found an entry in the <a href="http://blog.majadesign.nu/2015/05/may-mood-board-3/">Maja</a> moodboard and was completely wowed. After commenting on the blog post I was directed to a fabulous tutorial <a href="http://noortje-design.blogspot.nl/2014/10/noor-design-challenge-trapjeskaart.html">here.</a> The samples shown are amazing and as the weather is now keeping me indoors I filled in the time trying this out. Although not perfect I am really happy with the results.<br />

I've had the Kaisercraft 'Pitter Patter' collections for sometime now so it was a great opportunity to get these out. I've used the papers, tags & stickers throughout along with doilies, gauze and LOTS of I am Roses blooms.<br />
<br />
As the title indicates I am entering these in the May <a href="http://iamroses-challenge.blogspot.co.nz/">I am Roses</a> challenge, wish me luck.<br />
I am Roses products used are:<br />
<em>D1 & D2 Daisies, Lilies, Tulips, rosebuds, cherry blossums, S10's, tiny leaves.</em><br />

I've had this photo (and others) for sometime, of our friend, the retired race commentator Keith Haub's 70th birthday party.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j2QHzB7XnvU/VVqLcqzirNI/AAAAAAAABu0/Y6ji7_tulFU/s1600/Haubywm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="632" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j2QHzB7XnvU/VVqLcqzirNI/AAAAAAAABu0/Y6ji7_tulFU/s640/Haubywm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I've used lots of different supplies on this layout, which started with a Heartfelt Creations 'Countryside Evening' paper, with layers of Maja, Kaisercraft and BoBunny scraps. I've distressed, inked and punched edges. The burlap helps with the 'male' feel of the page. <br />
Under the layers I've attempted to add texture using micro beads attached with crackle paste thru a stencil. More crackle is added on some of the Dusty Attic chipboard. The Prima bottle caps are also filled with micro beads.<br />
<br />

This is the sketch I've followed which is the monthly LO sketch from <a href="http://www.artfullcrafts.co.nz/">Artfull Crafts</a>. I'll also be sharing this layout with my newly found friends at Finnabair & Friends <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/1594058807478454/?fref=nf">FB page</a> </div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f1daFNOIxjU/VVQIgEQGq4I/AAAAAAAABuI/tO5apTo_QoM/s1600/lacewm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="498" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f1daFNOIxjU/VVQIgEQGq4I/AAAAAAAABuI/tO5apTo_QoM/s640/lacewm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
A little bit brighter than your run-of-the-mill wedding cards, but hey WTH, the young ones appreciate these bright colours these days don't they.<br />
<br />
I adore this BoBunny 'Starcrossed' paper, then loads of red lace, rosette flowers and stickles used on the chipboard. I added these two black flowers and the gorgeous pearl and heart trim just to break all the red.<br />
<br />
For someone who doesn't make cards I'm really outside my comfort zone here.<br />
